How to reset T1281 - T1284 refillable cartridges (Apec Chip)

If a refillable cartridge is not recognised by your Epson printer and it uses an Apec type chip, then you will need to manually reset it!  To do this just touch both the pins shown in the diagram at the same time with a small metal object.  This will reset the counter back to full again.
Fortunately this problem does not happen too often, however this information may be of some use to you in the future.
